I begin by listening to the child and his parents and collecting the medical history. Your observations about sleep, nutrition, growth, and what has changed recently will help you understand the condition more fully.
How do we arrive at a clear plan?
Through clinical examination and review of previous reports, then investigations when medically necessary. I explain the results and options in understandable language, and share with the family practical recommendations that suit their child.
What after the visit?
Follow-up is part of care, and is scheduled according to the child's age, condition, and response to the plan. Evidence-based decisions and family education complement screening.
